Mtentu River Bridge – Piers

Temporary lateral support works for pier foundation excavations at the Mtentu River Bridge on the N2 Wild Coast Toll Road. The works include soil nails, shotcrete facing, and draped mesh systems to stabilise colluvium and rock slopes during deep excavations.

The process of working with us

From first brief to final sign-off, our process is built to remove uncertainty. We plan the right scope, deliver clear findings, and support you through construction so your programme stays predictable and your risk stays controlled.

1.Scope & Understand

We start by understanding the project goal, constraints, programme, access, and risk profile (drawings, location, ground history, services, environmental constraints).

2. Proposal & Method

We define the investigation / scope of works and issue a clear proposal: methodology, equipment, H&S requirements, deliverables, timeline, and cost.

3. Plan & Mobilise

We handle practicalities before arriving on site: permits, wayleaves, traffic accommodation (if needed), utility checks, H&S files, and mobilisation planning.

4. Site Investigation & Testing

We execute the fieldwork (e.g., drilling, test pits, SPT/CPT where applicable, sampling), plus on-site testing and chain-of-custody to the lab.

5. Engineering Analysis & Design

We interpret the ground model and convert data into decisions: parameters, stability/settlement checks, founding recommendations, support requirements, and constructability.

6. Reporting & Implementation Support

We deliver the final report/design pack and remain involved during construction: clarifications, site support, QA/verification testing, and sign-off documentation.
